The Felix Project rescues good, surplus food from the food industry that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste, and delivers it to over a thousand charities, community organisations and schools in London.
Bean has been working with The Felix Project to develop its approach to impact assessment & evaluation, working across the organisation to refine its Theory of Change and develop its research and evaluation capability, capacity and policies. We are now supporting their new Impact & Reporting manager to take this work further, including research among community organisations, volunteers and recipients of food and Felix meals.
Through our work with The Felix Project, we are working alongside the King’s Coronation Food Project, which seeks to transform the UK’s food systems from surplus to sustainable. Working with partners including The King Charles III’s Charitable Foundation and Fareshare, Bean is developing an impact framework and evaluation approach to create a consistent measurement and reporting across its Alliance, Hubs and Grants programmes.
“Bean have worked alongside us for a number of years to develop Felix’s approach to impact assessment & evaluation. This has included working across the organisation to develop our first Impact Strategy, refine our Theory of Change, develop research and evaluation capability and policies, as well as supporting on individual evaluations and helping to create our 2023 Impact Report. Bean’s expertise, skills and tailored approach has been incredibly valuable for Felix and really has underpinned huge advances in our thinking in this area. Thank you for the team at Bean!”
