Emily has over ten years’ experience leading research, evaluation, and learning programmes for charities, governments, foundations, and international organisations. Her career has included a focus on sensitive research topics, including violence against women and girls (VAWG), countering violent extremism (CVE), gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and countering mis- and disinformation. As such, she has extensive experience in designing and delivering innovative research to engage vulnerable and/or hard-to-reach communities, with a particular focus on women, children, and young people, in the UK and worldwide. Practically, this has included examples such as training peer researchers, co-designing participatory research, and coordinating peer-led evaluation engagement groups. Emily has an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and an MA(Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
